We were placed in a shockingly unclean room. There was sand on the floor, dirt on the walls, and stains on the bedspread. Worst of all, the bathroom was filthy with black mold everywhere. The manager ignored our requests for help, leaving us to clean up ourselves. Overall, it was a frustrating experience.

The beach here truly feels like paradise, with amazing views and the staff being incredibly friendly and attentive. However, the location can be somewhat remote with limited dining options nearby. Overall, it’s a charming place worth visiting, especially for the pristine beach and warm hospitality.

The nearby akumal beach is a short drive away and offers stunning views and playful sea turtles, while cenote excursions are just 20 minutes down the road, making it an ideal base for weekend city strolls and nature adventures. the staff were incredibly friendly and made me feel right at home during my stay in the one-bedroom condo with a sea view. but some areas of the hotel, like the kitchen appliances, could use a bit of updating to match the beautiful surroundings.

It was just a fine choice for a short visit in Akumal with decent value for money. The apartment had a nice sea view, which was enjoyable. Be prepared for local prices and cash-only payments when dining out.

The location of Aquatech Villas DeRosa is fantastic. Right on the beach, the view from my one-bedroom condo was spectacular. Soft, white sand and crystal-clear water made spending time outside a pleasure. I loved that the snorkeling off the beachfront was great too. I spotted various fish and corals, enhancing my beach experience. The self-catering kitchen worked well for me, equipped with all necessary cookware and utensils. I appreciated having purified water readily available. Tony, the owner, provided exceptional service. He was welcoming and quick to assist with any requests. I was even able to arrange a massage right in my condo, which felt luxurious. The ceviche and tortilla soup from the on-site restaurant were delicious and reasonably priced. On the downside, the taxi fares can be steep if you want to venture out. I noticed that the restaurant selection nearby is limited. having only one option within walking distance felt restrictive. Parking can also get tight since the surrounding area sees a lot of visitors. If you're looking for more nightlife or restaurants, this spot might not meet those expectations. Still, the relaxed atmosphere was a huge plus for my getaway. I often enjoyed peaceful evenings on the roof deck under the stars.
